The Stages of Change/

We understand that theory doesn’t always reflect real life, but it’s helpful to understand where you might be within this model of change* so that you’re aware of the typical stages that everyone goes through, and so you can prepare for future challenges. Crucially, each stage requires different strategies and interventions for successful change. Whatever stage you’re in, we have the tools to support you.

Relapse is a normal part of the journey to recovery, and can occur at various points within this stages of change model. It is not uncommon to progress through the different phases of the model several times before a stable state of ‘recovery’ has been reached.

Frequently Asked Questions

No problem, just choose to ‘speak now’ on our app and you can see which of our therapists are available. However, if you feel that you are in any immediate danger or at risk, please either contact emergency services or the Samaritans on 116 123.

You will need to enter your email and create a password. We will ask you to complete some personal information to create your account and enter the card details you wish to use for subscription and therapy payments.

The content of your session is just between yourself and the therapist. If you decide to change therapist, you will always be asked if you agree to share previous therapist notes and the data in your journal. Therapists require supervision during which they are asked to reflect on sessions, but this will always be done 100% anonymously.

To book an appointment, go to MyTherapy and select book an appointment – you can filter by date, time and price. You can then select a therapist, view their profile and select a video or audio call. Alternatively, you can select a therapist, view their availability and choose a time and date that suits you.

You will need to book an available appointment and this will enable you to ask any questions. You can use this appointment to get a sense of how you will work with the therapist and decide if they are the right fit for your needs and requirements. If they’re not quite right for you, it’s easy to select another therapist from within the app.

We are delighted to offer a 7 day free trial where you can access all app features. For access to therapy appointments via MyTherapy, you will still need to pay for appointments on a pay as you go basis.
